No, you only pay for what you use. Base excludes battery charging costs from your bill via the "Battery Credit", which measures the amount of energy used to charge the battery and the amount of energy used to power your home. Base credits you for the cost of the energy used to charge the battery (Battery Credit Energy Charges), as well as the utility transmission and delivery fees associated with the energy used to charge (Battery Credit Utility Charges).
