You should always have at least 5 hours (if you have a single battery) or 10 hours (if you have two batteries) of backup at low energy usage during normal operations, to maintain a reserve for 97.5% of outages in the state of Texas.Return ReturnDuring an outage, if solar panels are installed, they can recharge the battery during daylight hours, significantly extending the amount of backup time available. When the grid goes down, you have exclusive access to the battery for backup power. Base will not and cannot discharge energy to the grid during an outage.
