What is an Electricity Facts Label (EFL)?

An Electricity Facts Label (EFL) is a standardized document required by the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT) for all retail electricity providers. It discloses key details about your electricity plan — including your rate, contract length, and any fees — in a clear, comparable format.

Where can I find my Base Power EFL?

Your EFL is available in two places:

  • Base member dashboard: Log in at account.basepowercompany.com and navigate to your plan details.

  • Base Power website: EFLs for all available plans are published at basepowercompany.com under the plan information section.

What does my EFL show?

Your Base Power EFL includes:

  • Your contracted electricity rate (cents per kWh)

  • Contract length (typically 36 months)

  • Any applicable fees or variable charges (e.g., utility delivery charges)

  • Average monthly usage estimates and associated costs

  • Cancellation and renewal terms

Need a copy?

If you can't locate your EFL, contact Base support at support@basepowercompany.com and we'll send you a copy.
